@SophsSketchpad @Curator Main goal is to roll several thin layers of ink onto the block, not try to get a lot of ink on it in one go. This is the commonest mistake for beginners. Nick Morley has a couple of good linocut books for beginners. By far the best though is to do a course at an open printmaking studio (eg #LeicesterPrintWorkshop if you’re in the East Midlands).

This is my #Introduction post. I'm an Australian who's lived in the UK now since 1978, married to a British woman. We have one daughter and live in the East Midlands. Since retiring from a career in IT, I've done a lot of #Printmaking and, for the last couple of years, #Painting, which I'm still trying to figure out.
