My display I had at Brickworld Indy 2026
As always, it was a great turn out, and a terrific experience! A few highlights that I can currently recall. A child saw my battle scene and said, “I love this!” The mother replied with a perplexed tone, “you do?” The child responded with an astounding “yes!"🤣
I feel I may have scarred a few attendees, both parents and kids. I signed a few autographs and caught up with my regulars I see at Indy. Another thing I can recall on Saturday was a mother and her 2 kids stared at my display and their eyes glazed over with bewliderment. After 10 minutes or so of utter disbelief they walked away and about 20 minutes later they came back. The mother exclaimed, “Every other display we kept going to the boys kept saying I want to go back to the squ1ddos display, over and over.” I felt quite special after hearing that, so I gave them 2 tokens I created for the displays I liked. Their eyes lit up sooo wide and she greatly appreciated the gesture. As I can recall more I will comment. -

Veinhart Soul Engine and Swarm Core - The Resurrection
I know y’all are probably tired of seeing this build come up on your feeds, but I just wanted to show it off one last time. Currently the build is dismantled and I am prepping it for transport to Brickbash Ann Arbor and Brickworld Indy. I received a lot of gripe and disdain towards me posting this revamped version. Mainly due to the fact it was just posted a month prior, saying that it was complete. A lot of the other comments were about how you can’t tell what it is or its “just a mess of parts.” I just have to remember my monolithic builds require at least a video minimum. In person would be the best way to hopefully understand and appreciate them. However, I guess there were enough upvotes for Beyond The Brick to pick up the post and share it, so that’s something? This will be the last time I post this build until I decide what I will do with it later on. This build is my masterpiece and brings me a lot of joy. I also need to revamp the story behind the build as well.

Fast fertig geworden mit dem neuesten Gebäude. Oder sollten wir sagen "Klemmbaustein-Experiment"? Denn es sind einige neue Ideen eingeflossen in das MOC/Modular Building.
Karla und meine Wenigkeit haben mal wieder getüftelt. Aber schaut gerne selbst. -

Monorail! Für mich immer noch eines der coolsten Sachen von LEGO Space. Daher wird in der heutigen Folge wieder etwas damit gebaut. Zudem waren Karla und ich am Wochenende im Legoland unterwegs

Weiter geht es bei Spacehattan. Neue Gleise, ein Landefeld und ein paar Raumschiffe erweitern die Space City.

Moin. Aktuell habe ich echt viel um die Ohren und deswegen bin ich etwas stiller als sonst. Der Grund will schnell erklärt sein. Nachdem ich vor ein paar Wochen auf der Bricking Bavaria gewesen bin, steht diese Woche die Schwabenstein an. Mit dabei beim Messeherbst in Stuttgart.
Da stelle ich zwar "nur" ein paar Modelle mit aus, darf aber bei einer tollen Space-Landschaft mit dabei sein.

Nach der Ausstellung ist vor der Ausstellung. Und das, was auf der Bricking Bavaria stand, muss wieder in die Space City rein.
Doch wohin damit? Zeit für ein wenig Hashima Cube reloaded.Nebenbei ist die Stadt wieder recht groß geworden. Auf mittlerweile 3m² und es kommen noch mehr.

Es geht hoch hinaus...in Sachen Klemmbausteine. Das Hotel MOC ist fertig. 🙂

Ihr habt gefragt, welcher Schriftzug wohl am Hotel noch angebracht wird. Das verraten Karla und ich im heutigen Bauupdate. Aber...was bedeuten diese komischen Zeichen und was für eine Schrift ist das eigentlich? Das und mehr....im Video auf Youtube

Klemmbausteine waschen, putzen und neu verbauen. Der natürliche Zyklus eines MOCers 🙂
Und was entsteht aus den gewaschenen Steinen? Das "Weltall Astoria". -
Altes Lego ist gutes Lego. So sagt man ja gerne. Und genau das wurde jetzt in die Space-City integriert. Zwei Sets aus dem Jahre 1987 wurden aufpoliert und modifiziert. Beleuchtung durfte natürlich auch nicht fehlen.

LEGO Sets im Original aufbauen ist zwar witzig, sie aber umbauen auch. Ergo....wieso nicht einfach genau das machen?

Das ganze Wochenende nur Klemmbausteine im Kopf gehabt...was kann dabei nur herauskommen. 🙂

Eine kleine Zeitreise in Sachen LEGO und Bauupdate für die Space-City. Wenn schon ein Set aus der "alten Welt" umzieht, warum denn dann nicht noch einmal darüber erzählen. Schließlich ist das Set schon zwei Jahre in der Space-City vorhanden.
Von daher....eine kleine Sonderfolge. -
Mehr LEDs, witzige Pflanzen, ein paar Spacemen und schon ist das neue Gebäude fertig. Leider waren sich die Bauleitung und ich nicht ganz einig. Aber schaut selbst.

Space
Space is my favorite word. As a kid, my favorite TV show was Space: 1999. It inspired me a lot; I built the Eagle spaceship out of LEGO elements, which later helped me land my very first job as a LEGO Space designer in Billund. For my application, I designed a spaceship that took many cues from the Eagle (my favorite spaceship of all time; watch out for the Eagle documentary). Later on, in the 90s, I taught concept development at the Space Invaders education program in Aarhus. I’m also a big fan of the Open Space process for group work. Oh, and my favorite movie is 2001 – A Space Odyssey.

Never forget that you have power over your personal space, both your physical and mental space. Give others their space; there is plenty of it, virtually infinite amounts. Later, I will write about my favorite place, the Liminal Space. So all I can say is watch this space!

Est-ce que quelqu'un sait comment s'appelle ce procédé d'impression ? Je trouvais ça fascinant, quand j'étais gamin. Et encore aujourd'hui, d'ailleurs.
Do you know how this printing process is called? I found it fascinating as a child, and I still do nowadays.

Es geht weiter mit dem Hashima Cube. Es kamen weitere LEDs dazu und das letzte Gebäudeteil ist auch eingezogen. Und...wir haben auch Duplo eingebaut.

Ein paar verrückte Ideen hat es noch gebraucht, aber nun ist das Space-Labor fertig. Licht ist drin und das Modul an Ort und Stelle.

Der Hitze zum Trotz wird weiter an einem neuen MOC gebaut. Und dafür habe ich auch gleich noch die schönen alten Teile aus den 80er/90er Jahre ausgepackt.,
Quasi Space Deluxe. Des isch doch ebbes. -
Weiter geht es, mit der Space-City. In den letzten Tagen war Zeit, wieder ein paar Klemmbausteine aufeinander zu noppen und wir haben auch mehr Platz, denn es kam ein neuer Tisch dazu. Yay.

Die ersten LEDs sind in Spacehattan eingebaut. Der doppelte Cube dient ja sowohl als Bestandteil in meiner Spacewelt, als auch als Bestandteil einer Collaboration auf der Bricking Bavaria. Noch ist viel zu tun, aber es geht stetig voran.

Süße Aliens, fliegende Mondautos und noch viel mehr. Es wurde wieder etwas schickes gebaut.

Everybody is surfin...
Doofe Ideen müssen einfach in Klemmbausteinen gebaut werden. Spacige Surfbretter zum Beispiel. Nachdem ich die erste Version von Surfbrettern mit Raketenantrieb bei Ninjago entdeckt habe, mussten die einfach in die Spacewelt einziehen. Dark Star lässt grüßen.
Und schon ist ein weiteres Stück New Hashima Cube fertig. -

"Blacktron Instigator" is my attempt at disassembling the classic "6876 Alienator" #LEGO set, and building something from it that would be compatible with the new modular system used in the "10355 Blacktron Renegade" from 2025.

Manchmal wird es einfach schepps, wie man bei uns sagt. und weil schepps modern ist, wird das neue Gebäude-MOC genau so in die Landschafft gesetzt.

Knapp 410 Einzelbilder hat es gebraucht um dem Aufbau des aktuellen MOCs als Stop-Motion zu dokumentieren. Zeitraffer ginge zwar auch, aber naja....so ist irgendwie schöner. 🙂
Entstanden ist quasi eine Erweiterung eines Classic Space Set aus dem Jahre 1983.
