Not like you didn’t need more reasons to hate #AI #datacenters buuuuut I just learned that several of the new cooling systems being deployed have been developing colonies of legionella due to their rapid deployment and lack of adequate water processing procedures. In other words: data centers are starting to literally get their own workers sick with #Legionnaires disease, and the companies are scrambling to try and get it under control before anyone in the nearby neighborhoods start catching it too.
