Played a game of Legion Imperialis. We did several things wrong, but had a lot of fun. It was a tight battle, but the mechanicum edged out a victory against my imperial guard.

Now to decide how to expand to a 1500 point list.

This project came together nicely. My first 1k Legion Imperialis army is painted. Now I need to paint up my opposing 1k of Solar Auxilia and I can use them to teach my friends how to play.

Speaking of losing things on my messy floor. Some months ago I lost a tiny blast shield for an epic scale storm hammer lascannon. I carefully stashed the lascannon in one of my bits box so when I finally cleaned my floor I could finish that tiny tank.

Well, I finally cleaned enough to find the blast shield. I just can’t remember which box has the tiny lascannon. 😅🤣😭

Still more cleaning to do.

Legion Imperialis

I bought two boxes of Basilisks/Medusas, thinking I’d make 8 of each. But looking at the rules I’m not sure what role the Medusa plays with a 12” gun.

Especially since the artillery formation requires three squadrons of 4, it seems like I should make 12 basilisks, if not all 16.

Anyone able to sell me on Medusa?

So I picked up the Battletech Alpha Strike Counters pack, and I’m very impressed. It comes with 15 of these cardboard buildings, which aren’t super fancy, but are pretty awesome for a $25 terrain starter pack. Only a few block line of sight for knights, but all of them are taller than tanks or infantry.

I plan to use these for Battletech, Legion Imperialis, and even Ogre miniatures.
