Just finished “Legend of Zang Hai” 🌸 It took a long time to finish watching, because I kept stopping to recover. There is so much jeopardy and double-crossing in this drama that it is mind-boggling. There is a tiny bit of romance but the main plot is focused on plotting within and outside the court. The main theme is, however, the intricacies of personal relationships. The antagonists are just as psychologically well done as the good characters.

Am watching episode 31 of “Legend of Zang Hai” 🌸 The drama is all about revenge but the characters have very real and complicated relationships. It feels earned when Zang Hai and Xiang Antu confess to each other.

Am watching episode 28 of “Legend of Zang Hai” 🌸 There is a reason why I am watching this drama so slowly. There is continually a sense of jeopardy and especially this battle scene between Zhuang Zhixing and his father with Zang Hai watching on the sidelines. I keep needing breaks to recover.
The scene has so many layers and the characters’ journeys are all so complex. White knuckle stuff!

Just watching episode 24 of “Legend of Zang Hai” 🌸 The drama is very intense with lots of twists and turns. Xiang Antu is being saved by Zang Hai but there is more to their relationship than meets the eye.
Am watching this drama slowly because there is so much jeopardy and I keep stopping to recover before I go on 😄

Am watching episode 22 of “Legend of Zang Hai” 🌸 I am watching it slowly because there is so much jeopardy in the drama so I keep needing breaks. The cinematography is stunning. In this scene Zang Hai’s thoughts are represented in shadow puppets on paper windows.

Am watching episode 15 of “Legend of Zang Hai” 🌸 This is the first scene with more than a hint of romance. Xiao Zhan’s look is flirtatious and serious all at once. The effect is sincere while being very subtle.

Am watching episode 14 of “The Legend of Zang Hai” with Xiao Zhan 😺 Usually, I prefer romantic dramas but this revenge drama is top-notch and there might be some romance along the way.
The drama is plotted tightly and Xiao Zhan excels in this subtle role. His eyes and body language are very expressive.
