5 eps too long, but other than that, #cDrama #LegendOfTheMagnate was great.
Set at the beginning of the end for the Qing dynasty, it was an interesting period of history that allowed the state propaganda to be a natural fit and t not overwhelm the storytelling.
T he undoubted highlight were the strong, independent women who chose their own destiny & took action to accomplish it. Both the the FL & 2FL had the ability and determination to act toward getting what they wanted

As euphemistic understatements go, summing up a conflict that took 20 million lives in this one line pretty much takes the cake

Watching #cDrama #LegendofTheMagnate is taking longer than normal because I'm watching much of it on my TV. Many episodes feature stunning landscape cinematography, and then there's this scene. An awesome "OTP reunion" setup, "Warrior Princess saves her man". Great visuals, great to see. In #kDrama the example it reminded me of was #King2Hearts where Ha Ji Won's character single-handedly rescued Lee Seung-Gi's hapless royal

8/40 in #cDrama #LegendOfTheMagnate and really loving it so far. A business-focused historical with interesting characters and depictions of the China of the time.Having just read a book about how the British stole tea, this line resonated with me

The clouds on the horizon in this episode of #cDrama #LegendOfTheMagnate are very apt here as the wind starts to build and the rain starts to fall, but they also confirm that this Drama deserves the biggest screen one has, to do justice to the VERY big country it's about.
The sheer SIZE of the varied landscapes in the show always wows me living on a medium sized Island, and the way the physical environment is a character itself reminds me of the awesome #ToTheWonder

The first day after the end of Daylight Saving always leaves me out of whack: It's 23:30 but feels like 22:30
BUT, since tomorrow is a holiday, I can squeezin one more episode of #kDrama #NiceToNotMeetYou to hit 4/16 AND then start #cDrama #LegendOfTheMagnate - woohoo!
