I read an interview from 2025 that mentioned Gungho trying to decide if they would move on from Trails 2nd remake to remaking "from Zero" and then going back to 3rd?
With NIS pushing out a crossbell Switch 2 update will Gungho give us 3rd??

I have really enjoyed the Erebonia and Crossbell arcs in the Legend of Heroes, Trails series and finally picked up Reverie, I've heard mixed reviews but so far this seems like a really good wrapup for loose ends in the story. Big fan actually.
I DID go back and learn there is a secret ending to Cold Steel IV and was very happy about that.

In 2 weeks I've flew throughh both #TrailsInTheSky and Sky SC, and I'm now starting the 3rd Sky game.
I will get though all the Trails games, and then probably buy the Sky remake because GOD THESE GAMES HAVE SUCH GOOD CHARACTER WRITING #JRPG #LegendOfHeroes #Kiseki

Dorde P reported for Automation West that the remake of Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, is receiving a simultaneous global release on September 19 [Source: Automation West]. The report notes that this is Nihon Famicon’s “first simultaneous global release in the [long-running] Trails series” (consider this fact why I categorized this as a Things I Learned post). I included LoH: Trails in the Sky in my list of the games that left the biggest impression on me. Suffice it to say I am a fan and have some interest in the remake (albeit I plan to re-play the original before touching the remake). But I was not prompted to write this short learning post solely because I am a big fan of Trails in the Sky.
Back in 2023, I wrote about an orginal Japanese-language GIF ad I found on a June 5, 2004 Wayback Machine capture of the Vector Software Libary for the then-upcoming June 24, 2004 release of the original Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky. The original Trails in the Sky did not make it stateside until it was released for the PlayStation Portable on March 29, 2011, and the original computer version (which is what I played) came to North America on July 29, 2014, more than 10 years after the original Japanese release. For those of you who may be wondering why I was perusing mid-2000s Wayback Machine captures of a Japanese freeware software site, I was looking for information about the release history of a freeware doujin visual novel called Aru Fuyu Monogatari (I had previously reviewed its English localization, A Winter’s Tale).

I’ve gone back to #LegendOfHeroes (got distracted by NiF rewatch). Am on ep 12 now.
Mostly I want to say this adaptation did such an excellent job making Yang Kang someone you understand and actually want to root for. And you really do believe he sincere when he told Mu Nianci he meant to leave his past behind, but you understand how life pushes him so he won’t do that. Because he can’t let himself be helpless.

A three-part series that began with my reviewing a relatively little-known 2005 visual novel translation ends with... Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky. While I was digging through Internet Archive captures of vector .co .jp, I happened across a page captured on June 5, 2004. The Internet Archive captured a gif ad for a certain game being released on June 24, 2004. Since Trails in the Sky is one of my favorite games, I documented and re-printed the GIF ad, frame by frame, with links to the original source.
