Interesting article from the ICC on the ambiguity of the slogan "revolutionary defeatism," which I think is roughly correct.

"On January 31 2026, the unions (who had 'endorsed' the so-called general strike in Minneapolis) told the workers they claim to represent that they must go to work and could not join in any strike action. As expected, the unions prefer the bosses' rules to the workers' demands. The unions' betrayals to the working class doesn't begin with unions acting as flagrant class collaborationist state organs. Rather, they begin in the workplace by establishing recognition for capitalist management rights and promoting contractual mediation rather than the class struggle."

"This is always the answer of the capitalist left. Supporting brutal regimes throughout the world because their policies are at odds with the US is merely business as usual. So what if a government is opposed to the US or allied with it? So what if this boss or that boss, this president or that president, this dictator or that dictator is in charge? Class struggle has nothing to do with workers supporting this or that capitalist alliance or bloc at an international level, nothing to do with the flag a government flies as it oppresses its own workers and makes war on the workers of its rivals."

At least, as always, the groups of the communist left maintain the perspective of classist, internationalist, revolutionary marxist. Here is the second internationalist statement I can find today, this time from the Italian section of the International Communist Tendency:
"What to do? Proletarians of the world, it's time to escape this HUGE BARBARISM to which the crisis of global capitalism is leading us. NO TO IMPERIALIST WAR, YES TO CLASS STRUGGLE!"

An internationalist statement against the war in Iran:
"""
The working class does not have to choose sides! The proletarians of the whole world must not succumb to the siren calls of nationalism or take sides with either camp, whether in the Middle East or elsewhere. All nations, all bourgeoisies, whether democratic or authoritarian, left or right, populist or 'progressive', are warmongers!Despite the pompous rhetoric of hypocritical morality, pitting 'civilisation' against 'barbarism', 'good' against 'evil', 'aggressors' against 'victims', wars are nothing more than clashes between rival bourgeoisies. In these ever-increasing conflicts, it is always the exploited who are taken hostage and sacrificed for the interests of those who oppress and kill them!
To end wars, capitalism must be overthrown!

At least where I'm at, the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL) is garnering some attention for leading anti-ICE protests.
It's worth remembering where the PSL comes from.
Socialist Workers Party split -> Workers World Party split -> Party for Socialism and Liberation.
Every one of these groups is an abomination.
1. The Socialist Workers Party was a mainline Trotskyist group founded in the U.S. by James Cannon and his followers. They defended entry into the social democratic parties and defense of the USSR since it had statified property. I call this group "mainline" since even many Trotskyists had left Cannon's orbit years before the SWP's founding, and groped towards, but failed to reach, positions already elaborated by the Communist Left since the 1920s (namely that counter-revolution has triumphed in the Soviet Union and that state property is not progressive). Politically stillborn, the SWP limps on today as boosters for Stalinist Cuba.
2. Sam Marcy broke with the SWP in the 1950s to form the Workers World Party. His gripes? That the SWP did not sufficiently support the Russian invasion of Hungary in 1956 (to put down a workers' uprising!) and that the SWP should support Maoist China. Today ardent defenders of North Korea and Belarus!
3. The PSL is formed in 2004 after a split in the Workers World Party. Their politics are essentially the same as those of the Worker's World Party. Supporters of Russia, Assad's Syria, North Korea, and China.
Just because a group uses the title "socialist" and is active doesn't mean it is any good. As the left communist Herman Gorter said:
"Whenever a group, no mater how small, bases its actions on the development of society, then it is a party, yes, the party [...]. [S]cience, theory and the tactics which flow from it are what make a workers' party, not the number of members. Conversely, a workers' party whose actions are not based on the knowledge of society is not a real party even if it has a hundred thousand supporters. It is only a crowd, masses of people gathered around a troop of demagogues."

I know you don't believe in vanguardism or one party rule
As an anarchist I still disagree with syndicalism because its too focused on the worker identity and doesn't seem to say much about externalities like climate change or harm to non-human animals and it seems to center able-bodies neurotypical experience by default
Also the worker council owned factories in the USSR were quickly taken over by the central party which I think speaks to the inherently hierarchical concept of the firm
I do agree that workers shouldn't be coerced to conform to the authority of a planning council but I also think that the fundamental concept of self identifying as being a part of the firm before the commune is irrevocably adversarial
"The hell of capitalism is the firm, not the fact that the firm has a boss" - Bordiga

"The struggles driven by anti-fascism in the 'best' of cases reinforce the widespread illusion that the State is an arbiter above the classes, which is usually accompanied by seeing capital not as a social relation but as a group of multinationals or cruel and greedy men. And in the 'worst' of cases it leads to anti-fascist unity. Yesterday and today for orderly elections, to maintain capitalist normality. Yesterday and today to go to war or to accept 'states of emergency' in the name of democracy."

Now that the University of Alaska and UNAC (its faculty union) are headed to arbitration, we'll share this passage from the excellent article "Legal Limits on Labor Militancy: U. S. Labor Law and the Right to Strike since the New Deal" by Holly J. McCammon.
"The purpose of arbitration is to prevent a breakdown in communication between labor and capital and to preserve the continuity of production. But it is through the disruption of production that labor exerts its power in the workplace. The arbitrator's actions, therefore, work in the interests of capital and to the detriment of the structural capacity of labor to achieve its collective goals. In that the law fortifies and legitimates the arbitration framework, it often works to the detriment of organized labor."
We recommend the whole article. It supports the communist left's point that unions have been integrated into capital.
The problem isn't bad leadership (though it's often bad). It's that the unions can only fight in a very narrow legal framework. They are no longer fighting bodies of the class.
Anyway, here's the article on #SciHub:

Tonight's most interesting political news (it's news to me anyhow) is that there is yet another group calling itself the International Communist Party. This is a recent split, just a few months old. Here is their text on the U.S. election:
