Claudia Sheinbaum anunció una inversión de casi 59 mil millones de pesos para infraestructura educativa en 2026, con recursos para mejorar escuelas mediante La Escuela es Nuestra y otros programas federales.

La presidente Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo anunció una inversión cercana a 59 mil millones de pesos para infraestructura educativa durante 2026, con recursos destinados a mejorar escuelas de todo el país mediante programas como La Escuela es Nuestra (LEEN) y el Fondo de Aportaciones Múltiples (FAM).

La inversión, explicó durante su tradicional conferencia de prensa desde Palacio Nacional, busca fortalecer las condiciones físicas de los planteles educativos y forma parte de las acciones del gobierno federal para ampliar el acceso a la educación como un derecho. Los recursos anunciados no incluyen las inversiones adicionales que realizan las entidades federativas.
“Es una inversión histórica de 59 mil millones de pesos para las escuelas en el país”, señaló la presidente durante la conferencia matutina “Las mañaneras del pueblo”.
Recursos para educación básica, media superior y superior
El secretario de Educación Pública (SEP), Mario Delgado Carrillo, detalló que los recursos se distribuirán en distintos niveles educativos.

Para educación básica se contemplan 37 mil 715 millones de pesos, de los cuales 15 mil 21 millones corresponden a infraestructura educativa y 22 mil 694 millones al programa La Escuela es Nuestra (LEEN).
En educación media superior se destinarán 10 mil 916.4 millones de pesos, recursos que permitirán la construcción de 31 nuevos Bachilleratos Nacionales, 80 ampliaciones, cuatro reconversiones y 370 planteles Bachilleratos Nacionales Margarita Maza.
Con estas acciones, la SEP prevé generar 156 mil 240 nuevos espacios educativos para estudiantes de nivel medio superior.
Para educación superior se contemplan 9 mil 783.9 millones de pesos, destinados a proyectos de expansión de instituciones como la Universidad Nacional Rosario Castellanos (UNRC), el Tecnológico Nacional de México (TecNM), universidades tecnológicas y politécnicas, escuelas normales, universidades interculturales y otros proyectos para ampliar la infraestructura educativa.
La Escuela es Nuestra atenderá más de 71 mil planteles
La directora general de La Escuela es Nuestra (LEEN), Pamela López Ruiz, informó que durante 2026 el programa ha atendido a 71 mil 482 escuelas, con una inversión social de 22 mil 694 millones de pesos.
Los recursos se asignan considerando factores como vulnerabilidad, marginación y rezago social, y abarcan planteles desde educación inicial, preescolar, primaria y secundaria, hasta educación media superior.
El programa entrega recursos directamente a las comunidades escolares para que, mediante asambleas, madres y padres de familia determinen las mejoras prioritarias para cada plantel.
Gobierno federal reporta 22 millones de becarios educativos
Sheinbaum señaló que la inversión en infraestructura forma parte de una estrategia más amplia que incluye las Becas para el Bienestar, acciones salariales para el personal docente y medidas relacionadas con el sistema de pensiones para maestros.
De acuerdo con la SEP, el cierre del año contempla 22 millones de estudiantes beneficiarios de becas en todos los niveles educativos.
Las autoridades educativas señalaron que las acciones buscan fortalecer la infraestructura escolar y ampliar las oportunidades de acceso y permanencia de estudiantes en el sistema educativo nacional. –sn–
