CW: Possible "Reply 1988" Spoiler
Reply 1988 brought the 80s back to me - a time when I was also in high school, college & getting married - so the nostalgia hit hard. As my mom needs quite a bit of help these days, these lines hit me so hard:
"There is someone I would like to meet again. / Who? / My parents when they were young & seemed as big as mountains."

Reply 1988
(2015 - Viki, 20 avg 1:35 eps (varies))A slice-of-life story about 5 families on the same street where the kids have spent their youth together. We arrive when they are finishing high school We live through the challenges of discovering their paths in life, developing relationships, maintaining their friendships, parents aging, & more. It was interesting to learn about baduk players & some laws & ideas about which families could marry.
It was a WOW! 1 of those where these characters will live with me forever. So touching, I teared up at almost every episode, but I also laughed. Phenomenal acting, beautiful writing & what seems to be very authentic set design creates an unforgettable show. [See comment]
The time-shifts gave us enough mystery to make slice-of-life compelling - it was so well done. & the OST is also great.

May I Help You
(2022 - Prime, 16 1:10 eps)A funeral director who talks to the recently deceased repeatedly encounters a man & they help each other overcome their problems as they slowly realize their intertwined fate.
There's an overarching mystery to solve, but each episode is about the FL's latest client. The grief & pain of loss are nicely written. The pacing seems a bit slow, & the side stories were uneven. Some felt undeveloped & some seemed to be filler, not for plot advancement.
Acting was good with unexpectedly touching stories. Uncles were funny & sweet, with a cute bromance. The leads had good chemistry, but the romance felt underdeveloped. Choice of villain was unexpected, but it didn't fit. Important info shows up in the last episode. If we had known earlier, some of the stories might have had even more meaning. I did enjoy it, but it didn't realize its potential.

@EllenInEdmonton the relationship with #LeeHyeri ended in November 2023. I really don't understand why it's not okay to start seeing someone else as soon as it's over. And most importantly why is #HanSoHee at fault here.
I truly don't get it!

#day20 A drama that made me sad or cry
#MayIHelpYou made me cry and laugh too. It's the story of a young woman ( #LeeHyeRi ) taking up the controversial job of funeral director, only to find out that she can communicate with the dead and grant them their final wish.
The ML is guy who runs all sort of legal errands.
Certain stories behind the corpses are so sad it's impossible not to be moved.
