Here’s the final style of Glowie we’re making! Shooting stars and flames! These fun animations draw attention without being too distracting, and their battery life is double the solid Glowies, so around 20-24 hrs on a single charge.

Also, the long shooting stars have two modes - the animated shooting star and solid on. Power cycling the Glowie switches back and forth between the two!

Glowie assembly! Double-stick tape is already on the PCBs, I plug in a battery, peel the tape, stick the battery down, and dress the wires. Then I snap the bottom cover on, and snap the top cover on. #alpenglowies #glowies #ledjewelry

Getting to be friends (and collaborators) with super talented makers has some nice bonus benefits! In addition to the gorgeous Fibonacci heart pendant, @jasoncoon sent me a flexible PCB he designed and assembled (!) that has 128 tiny addressable LEDs laid out in a Fibonacci pattern, along with the vector file to cut out a faux leather cover. The whole assembly looks truly stunning in cuff bracelet form.
