I have to say #Lectronz @lectronz are proving to be really good - they are clearly the "new Tindie" (where as Tindie is now a total waste of space). Amazon is ticking over, but only for one product now as they are such a pain to deal with.
Lectronz sales are rising nicely month on month - people are clearly more aware of it, and many of our products. Today has been mental as I restocked several items and they are flying out.

Having sold all 20 #ESP32 #GPS #NTP modules, I expect 20 more next week, but see 13 people already on #Lectronz waitlist.
I've been doing some updates to the code today for the unlikely event of another leap second, just in case.
I think that is it for the code now, I can't think what else to add.
I was thinking of adding NMI assembler for PPS interrupt, but normal interrupt and clever code to pick best recent reference gives as low as σ=2ns for reference timestamps for NTP. Mad!

All shipping options to the USA have been disabled on our #Lectronz store ahead of the changes to US duty on 24th July 2026.
Once things are better understood I hope to re-enable USA shipping. But since duty on Lectronz is currently configured by shipping rate and not by product/HS code we may end up having a shipping option for each rate of duty. AIUI this will mean shipping costs for products with different rates can't be combined 😩 .

OK, the latest PoE boards are working well (and all sold, sorry). So my pending listing on #lectronz stays pending, sorry.
The key thing is these Environmental Monitoring boards do Ethernet and PoE which fits a lot of business, and data centre, uses as well as well wired home uses.
Next version, lower profile RJ45 and lower profile PoE module. Neater cases.
Will be fun.

Well, the good news is @tindie payout worked, took a day, but no fees.
Bad news is no sign of the $2500 of "waitlist" orders - only one Faikout sold...
So may be no point in keeping stuff listed on #Tindie anyway - clearly customers have lost confidence too.

Well, it has taken another 4 hours but I have #Lectronz/Stripe API payment reconciliation working at last.

Turned out I had already opened a shop at Lectronz in March 2022, but I never enabled it as its features were rather limited back then.
My Tindie shop is in permanent Vacation mode now, waiting for better times to come. I still got some payments in there waiting for disbursement, so let's see what happens. But from all the bs they've been feeding their shop owners, I won't be surprised if the whole thing disappears.

Migrated my little electronics shop from Tindie to Lectronz today. Took some effort to get all back-and-forth links between the shop and my website in sync again, but at least the import tool at Lectronz made copying the product pages from Tindie easy.

A month of #tindie madness.
I have popular products and a lot of waitlist items now we have stock at zero.
I'll open up stock, but only once disbursements are working.
THIS HAS BEEN A MONTH @tindie
The communications at EVERY STAGE has been totally useless.
Someone has even written a whole new (better) Tindie from scratch and launched it in this time even.
Other established platforms are getting way more sellers, such as #lectronz

Great, I have people on waitlists on #Tindie
They did pay me, but was hassle, I want it all working smoothly and people confirming that disbursements work before I even remotely consider listing stocks again. The latest communications on that are not encouraging. We'll see.

If you are on #tindie, move to #Lectronz now - sell and get paid!
Sell in EU without customers having couriers asking for VAT and fees on delivery as all sorted with IOSS.
Sell in US with duty worked out correctly for PDDP, and again, customers not asked for fees and duty by couriers.

#Lectronz was smaller, but the latest #tindie fiasco has changed that. You can see their own posts of new listings have gone from every few days to many a day. They are getting bigger.
But they do EU IOSS as well.
And they do US tariff as percentage.
And they do postage based on weight.
And they can import products from Tindie.And, importantly, our last weeks sales match what we would have had with Tindie.

@tindie was never that slick.
I have it set up so my staff see a list of orders, one click to print postage and it tells Lectronz the shipment tracking all in one. They then pack, label, and done. Slick fulfilment.

This is interesting. It seems Lectronz can work as a “deemed supplier” in to the EU.
I wondered how this works now.
It seems there is an IOSS number to provide to the courier which presumably stops them asking the recipient for VAT.
I wonder if/how Royal Mail handle that. I’ll have to ask. It would make it a lot easier for EU buyers.
I dread to think what bureaucracy goes on behind the scenes with that!

It seems those with sales do not show delete.Two products do not show delete yet no order I see yet - is someone "ordering" now, I wonder.

Should have products on @lectronz shortly. Getting first one on, and approved, and then will do all the API integration on it. Planning to move all @tindie stuff over, obviously. No idea if we'd ever trust Tindie to re-list on them or not, maybe one day.
The shipping rate stuff on lectronz is way better. I have been able to fine tune USA rates, and I'll be working through more detailed EU shipping rates soon as well.
It allows us to get really close to shipping at cost price
