Greetings, I have been lurking here for a year and enjoying it greatly, though I often feel like I'm doing it wrong and everyone is looking at me the way Lucifer, below, looks at me when I'm trying to read. Advice or tips on how to best participate here on kolektiva are welcome!

Well I did it - I put up the "I'm out" post on FB, and deleted the apps. I'm keeping my accounts for the contacts and so people can find me elsewhere, and because identity hijacking is always a concern, but I'm done with posting. I'm expecting it'll be a while before anyone actually sees the post, thanks to the algorithm, if it doesn't just suppress posts like this entirely.

I’m leaving Facebook this week. I’m so excited about starting over fresh and new. It’ll be the end of a 13 year saga over 3 accounts.
They don’t have the social spaces that other apps offer. There is not cohesive #horror Facebook community. No Book Facebook. (BookBook?) The algorithm ruined it for me. I couldn’t see friend’s posts anymore.
So that’s it. I’m done. I’ll be better off in the long run.
