    #LeaveHerToHeaven (1945)
A writer falls in love with a young socialite and they're soon married, but her obsessive love for him threatens to be the undoing of them both as well as everyone around them.

  3. Rewatched #LeaveHerToHeaven and was struck by how EVERYONE attributes the obsessive, problematic relationship between Ellen & her father to her innate sociopathic tendencies and her manipulation of him, and nobody ever questions if perhaps this GROWN MAN had a hand in shaping HIS DAUGHTER'S psyche.

I'm not a fan of boiling down a woman's personality to "daddy issues," but even that is an improvement over "guess she's just a shrew."

  5. #LeaveHerToHeaven remake:
Someone's taught Danny how to do the dead-man's float

  6. Always forget the fabulous, sexy #VincentPrice has a great pre-horror role in #LeaveHerToHeaven

    Lawzy [bites knuckle]

Endlessly fascinated by the art direction; the Technicolor palette is deliberately creepy

  8. Remembering Gene Eliza Tierney (1920-91), the striking American film, stage and television actress, born in New York #onthisday. An indelible #femmefatale in the title role of Otto Preminger's classic #Laura (1944), she also starred in the director's later noirs #Whirlpool and #WheretheSidewalkEnds (both 1950) while reteaming with Vincent Price for #LeaveHertoHeaven (1945) and #Dragonwyck (1946), and portraying the nightclub singer in Jules Dassin's superb #NightandtheCity (1950).
