Lighting from the right. Tried to be bold with my values. Finding the confidence to put down lines is still difficult for me. Added eyes (the empty staring of the original gives me the creeps).

I'll soon start picking up digital drawing learning again. But I updated my Miqo'te, or "cat girl" as wifey said, so she actually has a tail now, and slightly better hair gradients.

Just popping on to share my first ever attempts at #Chibi style #drawing (head is roughly 50% of the overall height). In order, from left to right.

I'm trying to slowly learn anime-style drawing so decided to start at the simpler end.

Drawing people/sentient races has always been weakness of mine. Yet I want to also draw characters from my writing, but without over-complicating it.

P.S. yes the man at the bottom is holding a giant spoon and a pencil.

Drawing also requires a very sharp pencil. I saw the teacher use a similar device in one of her lessons. I said to myself, "Self, you can make that." and I replied, "Damn right!" and got to work. I used salvaged pallet wood as the backing and then glued a piece of 220 sanding belt to it. Functions the same way a strop works for fine tuning your handtool blades in woodworking. Keep it pointy, Y'all!
