  1. Everyone on this part of the Internet has their opinions about #AIML and to what extent we must either harness its power or kill it with fire and I sure have mine. But add this one to the "That'll do clunker, that'll do" column: based on a hunch and some exploratory rounds with he-who-speaks-in-sonnets I was able to contribute a new vector of #secret #leakage #detection. Was it trivial? Yep. Did it take a bunch of complex chained steps? Nope. Go ahead and lust after #Mythos but know that all it takes is a model you can run locally on a Mac mini, open eyes and moderately tuned spidey-senses to make a difference 🛡️

"Extensive experimentation with real world and synthetic datasets demonstrates significant privacy #leakage through recourses. Our work establishes unintended #privacy leakage as an important risk in the widespread adoption of #recourse methods."

  3. #IAEA #DG #Statement on a #Water #Leakage at #Fukushima Daiichi #NPP, iaea.org/newscenter/pressrelea

It is important to highlight that this event is not related to the ALPS treated water discharge. It happened inside the #Reactor Building of Unit 2. The Agency was not informed about any breach of the #radiation protection standards.

  4. Almost three weeks of renovating our new house, finally ready to move everything in, and then it turns out part of what we had stored externally at #shurgard is wet. #Leakage via the wall that the boxes were next to.

And apparently you have to arrange things with your own insurance company. Which feels wrong, since it's their building that is leaking on our stuff.

Anyone here that has any experience with this?

(Cool report, just don’t mind the swear words, they’re not in English anyway 🤷 )

  9. Recently I saw a water #leakage detector that was very simple from its design, it was just a #sponge, a spring and had an aux contact. I found that design, as simple as it is, very intriguing.
The dry sponge carries the contact that is pressed onto the sponge by the spring, when the sponge gets wet the spring will compress the sponge (which is much softer in wet condition) and hence the contact closes. Maybe it was the contact opening, I guess that makes more sense to be fail proof.

Now I am trying to find this #sensor, but I can't find it. Any tips where to look or what search terms to use?
