If you're not totally averse to clicking through to Bluesky, this thread names lots of names of people who supported Rawson's campaign early on and seemingly helped it gain the early momentum it needed to overcome long odds for an upset victory in the GOP primary. There are, of course, lots of LOTS people and other UTR veterans, but also the neo-nazi publisher Antelope Hill (get it? their initials are AH like their hero...), at least one known member of Patriot Front, and (surprise!) KKK lawyer Sam Dickson, who just can't seem to find a racist in the South who he won't support.

Chris Mathias has a detailed article up about Marshall Rawson, the Republican candidate for the Florida House of Representatives seat in (iirc) district 10. Rawson is expected to win that seat because it's a solidly Republican district.

Rawson attended the Unite the Right rally (UTR) in Charlottesville, VA, in 2017 as an active member of League of the South (LOTS), an extreme racist, antisemitic, secessionist, pro-Confederace org that has since been sued more or less out of existence because of its role in organizing UTR. Rawson claims to have left LOTS ten years ago, but was a speaker at a conference of theirs in 2021 and received lots of support from LOTS members and assorted other neo-nazi and neo-fascist actors during his primary campaign.

Over the years, Rawson has used his social media accounts to advocate for capital punishment for gay men, defend slavery, and endorse lynching.

Needless to say, neither the state nor the national GOP orgs have stepped up to criticize or denounce their candidate.

Yesterday's Republican primary for Florida's House District 10 went to a guy named Marshall Rawson, who was a member of the deeply racist, antisemitic, pro-Confederacy org League of the South. Rawson participated in the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, VA, with LOTS, and despite claiming he left it a decade ago, he has been documented participating in their events as recently as 2021. (It would be difficult for just about anyone's affiliation with LOTS to be documented more recently than that because that's the year of the verdict in Sines v. Kessler, the civil conspiracy case against the Unite the Right organizers. LOTS and two of its leaders were among the defendants, and all were found liable for significant fines. Insofar as LOTS has even existed since then, it has kept a very low profile.)

I haven't kept up with the League of the South -- I had the impression that they were pretty well hamstrung after the Sines verdict, but what do I know?

Well, I do know that CSPOA has always had a pretty major tendency toward Southern nationalism and Christian Identity, so it only makes sense that new leader Sam Bushman would do a radio show from LotS's "Dixie Fest" in South Carolina in July. It apparently went about as you would expect...
