Just been using The Most Excellent text #editor for #Penguins, #Leafpad. Found:

• text files and space hogging mp3 and garbage all over my computer
• #PLAIN #TEXT come back all is #forgivable
• #Simplify, #delete #unnecessary. I gets it! I gets it!

WHO is the mad #complicater in charge of my Life, #computer and #interrupting my #flow of #creativity? #Clue to self: IS moi, memes. #Mimi, #scatter #brain to the #four winds …

@jpaskaruk I am a window arranger too. It's very time consuming. This is my desktop at the moment. I'm in Puppy on an older 32-bit netbook with a neon icon theme, browsing in #Palemoon & writing posts in #Leafpad. The DE is JWM which is lighter & more rustic than XFCE, but this distro also has #LXDE with a switch.

What I booted looked nothing like this but I manually adjust each boot because it is all in ram & I am not saving the adjustments. That is primarily for security.

Luckily I do not have your mouse problem in XFCE. The only other DE I use is MATE, but I think of it as luxurious for a more powerful machine.

So, over the weekend I explained to my technically inexperienced wife how basic Notepad and Wordpad in Windows are. I explained the extra functionality of other text editors such as my personal text editor of choice #vim, along with #emacs and others - even #leafpad.

It blew her mind!

She now wants me to show her how vim compares two files for differences and appends the contents of one text file to another!
