Totally agree. From a noise perspective, I prefer the lower tone of a gas-powered blower. The electric ones have a horrible high pitch. What they aren’t adding to the air pollution they more than make up with noise pollution!

Can we all just agree that the blowing of leaves in any form is just an insane and largely pointless practice?

My new home is in an area that is all managed by a homeowners association. I’m not here to judge the pros and cons or efficacy or anything else about this type of organization, but what I will say is that I am at the old home right now and there are probably four leaf blowers in operation at 6 o’clock in the evening. At my new home they all stop at 5 o’clock because the ground crews quit work. That justifies the expense of the HOA to me - that single fact. #noisepollution #Leafblowerssuck

So in the 30 min they've been blowing around this half trashcan worth of leaves they've generated air pollution equivalent to driving a car over 1000 miles. I sent an angry email 😡 #leafblowerssuck

There are two guys running leaf blowers non-stop for the last 20 min in *one spot* on the #UniversityOfArizona. How many leaves could there possibly be in spring in the desert??? Surely not enough to justify the air and noise pollution!! #leafblowerssuck
