I previously used love from others as a bandage for the love I was not providing to myself. Their love made me feel good…until it didn’t.
Then I was scrambling not having any love. Now that I know I can provide myself with my own support, compassion, and love, I’m no longer desperate to be loved by someone else.

I am still amazed at my transformation.
Acceptance is so powerful.
I went to the tea shop on Lonsdale + mentioned my recent experience of embracing acceptance to the owner when he asked how I was. He said I looked radiant. 🤩
Then I bumped into my former GP + told her about embracing acceptance + feeling alive for the first time in a decade. She was happy I looked well.

I received messages from 2 friends today who I hadn’t heard from since last year. Both apologized for being distant and both told me they’ve been struggling.
They were the first friends I made when I moved here in 1993. I’m sad that they are also both struggling. The 3 of us spent a lot of time together in our younger years. Good times.
