#ldjam56 might just be the first one where we actually make a post jam build that isn't just "fixed one or two simple bugs". Not sure what happened, but it seems like this time around everyone is willing to put some extra effort into the game, which wasn't really the case usually after most of the 72h crunch sprints we did for #ldjam.

Having attended #ludumdare so many times with a team, my quality expectations have risen to the point where most of the games feel meh, making the playtesting phase a real chore.
I just can't make my inner voice that's saying "if we can make a full release ready product, so can everyone else" shut up, despite being fully aware most people do Ludum Dares solo 😭
Streaming used to make things more enjoyable, but sore throat says no for #ldjam56.

Kinda of. The game isn't done, but as most of us have work tomorrow, it's time to head home and continue remotely for the extra hour or two of final polishing.

Day 3 of a #ldjam is almost always a "spend entire day doing UI and menus" day for our team. Can't say I like doing it, but the results are usually pretty good.

After a long #RoadToLudumDare, everything is finally ready. Temporary office is set up, all the server infrastructure is working and we're good to go for theme reveal of #ludumdare56 in an hour!

Today was a successful day in the #RoadToLudumDare software land.
I finally managed to get the #SSL certificates for our selfhosted #git and wiki #servers renewed. It took a lot longer than it should have, as I have forgotten the password for my root certificate and was already 5 digits into the third brute force cracking attempt when I realized I have the password written down somewhere 🤪
Sometimes reading the docs isn't a bad idea!
