Sadly, in the “Lucky Country”, considering the Indigenous people experiencing poverty, disabled people, etc., isn’t regarded as ethical.
This is another example of the continued institutionalised, systemic devaluation of marginalised lives in policy design, here and around the world, by the colonisers.
If you think this will never happen to you, it can happen faster than you think. Very few are immune.

Eager to spout their self-proclaimed expertise in Developmental biology.
I couldn’t find any trace of their papers, so as an academic, I asked about it.

So apparently Twitter promoted posts calling for violence against gay people and everyone, as usual, is just kinda cool with that.
I think what's even more heartbreaking is that part of the way he proved his point was by showing a kid petting a human pup in gear. The implication there is the same song and dance we've seen a million times about queer people, but it really does hit harder when it's the existence of your own community being used as a justification for why your broader community shouldn't exist. The "no kink at pride" people would have a field day with this one.
I'm so tired of people acting like using Twitter is somehow okay. It's really not. People telling me with a straight face that it's bad I use TikTok while they're sitting there scrolling Twitter is just mind-blowing to me. The Overton Window is so far to the right that people don't even care they're using a Nazi site. I'm so over it.
