Any #mechanical engineers out there who have a good book on interlocking wire/rod designs? Or other resources? I'm thinking of 3d structures to make things ridgid. e.g. show me a book with tricks like the mechanism seen in the attached image.

I'm thinking of spring locking mechanisms, assembly, disassembly, rigid triangle structures, etc.

My wife is on corporate social media and gets ads for Skylight, a touchscreen display to help families keep their calendars straight. Their advertising seems to work well because she's gunning to buy it.

The ads promise the world. Happy family, kids engaged, doing chores, magical meal planning, etc.

I don't like the idea of a single use ewaste device with a monthly subscription.

Alternatives? Linux or Android would be ideal.

I want to try this copilot thing in vscode.
But not #vscode. I use #codium instead.

I had it installed, but never got it working and now I try again and it's all borked.

I'm having spam trouble again. What's the theory (or just the practice) behind DNSBL for IPv6 addresses? The cheapest VPSes get 48 to 64 bit subnets; blocking individual addresses can't be the solution, but neither can be blocking a complete /64 residential or mobile access network when a single address in there misbehaves.

Are there any #ImageGallery tools/templates for #GitHubPages I could teach to nontechnical people in a couple of hours?
It could be some static HTML/CSS/JS solution we could copy paste tweaking a bit of hard coded info perhaps (nothing dependent of npm please, I hope I can find something workable from GH's web interface). I tried a few things I found on GH but they seem mostly unmaintained and broken. Help! #LazyMastodon
