Seeing many former colleagues from Zenimax Online get hit by the latest round of XBox layoffs. I know the game industry is a weird and unique space (I don't regret passing through but would never do it again) but staying for decades with a single employer doesn't make a lot of sense if they will drop you when they need to. #layoff

The new #CEO is trying to apply to Wikipedia a #layoff and anti #union strategy already seen in many other #bigtech looking for #profit. Wikipedia is supposed to be #nonprofit, and any real #gain shall be used for Wikipedia.

Yesterday, yes, on April Fool's Day, my day job informed me and 89 other people that our last day will be Friday, the 3rd. None of us are happy about it, and it means I am once again without steady income. I am not okay with things. I'm going to be selling off everything in the near future to try to save what little I have left. The desire and search for stability continues.

The urge to drink is pretty high right now, but I'm not giving in. I'm at my two-month mark.
