Professional curiosity about why these (Australian?) law reporters are intermixed with unbound supplements. At first I thought it was a design choice, turning every other volume around for the visual effect of standing in front of a piano keyboard. But it looks like this library is keeping the periodic updates with the eventually complete printed volume, which is usually the same content (or contains corrections, so it's replacement). Seems wasteful of space, potentially confusing #LawLibraries

Brief excitement when I saw an email from RELX LexisNexis that promoted its Print and CD Center. Surely that meant it had been updated!! Sadly, no. It's mystery meat design still: a right-to-left headline scroller "In the News", fuzzy images of text with no ALT, etc. The commented code indicating an updated in 2015 seems about right. It makes me that much more confident they will get AI right. lol

Preparing to teach legal research and writing for the first time in awhile. I'm not a Bluebook fan but, with a new edition, updated my tab system from the last edition I used heavily and upped my color game! The system is a money spinner for elite law schools. So glad to see Illinois' lenient citation approach. I'm hoping to help shift students to the free Indigo Book (https://indigobook.github.io/) and plug public domain citation formats.

You'd be surprised at some of the research that law librarians do for their patrons.
