We are coming to the end of National Family #Caregivers Month. I am posting this photo in honor of my mother, Tzip, who gave everything she had to my father, Jerry, as he was dying from early-onset #Alzheimer's. It was the 80s-90s &I don't recall #caregiving as something anyone was thinking about. Many thanks to #RosalynnCarter's foundation & #SethRogen &#LaurenMillerRogen's #HFC (& many more). They are heroes. How I wish my mother & our family had access to these support networks.

Kensington Redondo Beach is showing a documentary by Lauren Miller Rogen and Seth Rogen. Screenings will take place from 2:00 to 3:30 and 5:00 to 6:30. It's called "Taking Care." The screenings will be followed by a panel discussion about #Alzheimer's, love, and caregiving. I am honored to be included in that panel. Please register is you are interested and available.

@LinuxAndYarn. I redid the earlier post but to answer your question, I do know of a couple of non-corporate #caregiving foundations. I'm sure there are more but the two that come to mind right away are #MindWhatMatters (founded by Elizabeth Humphreys) and #HFC (#LaurenMillerRogen).

It was also my birthday (people, especially those who have lost a loved one to dementia, will understand why it was important to go on this day) and the wonderful community at the Kensington sent me home with this gorgeous bouquet.💜
