Fire OS hack lets you install custom launchers on Fire TV and tablet devices, disable OTA updates, and install blocked apps

Amazon’s Fire TV and Fire Tablet devices run a modified version of Android called Fire OS that allows you to stream music and video from Amazon, Netflix, and a wide range of other services. Part of the reason Amazon Fire TV devices are so cheap is that Amazon uses the home screen for ads and to direct you to its own apps and services.
