Nearly a half (48.2%) of #Latvians felt in good or very good #health in 2025, the Central Statistical Bureau of #Latvia reported. The #survey showed that 53.7% of #men and 44.0% of #women rated their health status as good or very good.

Most #Latvians think that the quality of life in #Latvia became worse in 2024, according to a new #poll. The #survey showed that 42% of Latvian residents believed that the quality of life went down in 2024, while 15% of residents thought that the quality of life had improved.

On February 3, 1938, the NKVD authorities at the Butovo training ground executed troupe of one of the #Moscow theaters - the Latvian theater "Skatuve", located on Strastnoy Boulevard, house 6. In total, 258 people were shot that day, of which 229 were #Latvians.
