Quando (ancora circa alla metà degli anni Settanta) per andare dalla Liguria in Costa Azzurra si doveva uscire dall'autostrada a La Turbie, una delle strade percorribili per arrivare alla Moyenne Corniche finiva - come tuttora finisce - all'incrocio della foto, un punto all'epoca molto funestato da incidenti. Verso Nizza un raddoppio della Moyenne effettuato da pochi anni la faceva - la fa tuttora - passare tra alcuni piccoli canyon artificiali.

It wasn't all sunshine and sends in Nice... There was quite a lot of rain and whips too. The one had something to do with the other because damp limestone can be a little slick, though the reasons also included grade sandbagging, fatigue and just plain sucking. Anyway, I thought I'd post a little compilation of Nice whips because who doesn't like a bit of schadenfreude?
