the author of revelation had very little idea of what would be in the christian bible.
he cannot be talking about adding or taking away from the bible.
he's talking specifically about the book of revelation. revelation 22:18-19 can't be referring to the #christian bible which did not exist yet.
not to be #mormon on main, but #LatterDaySaints are correct about this. i'm standing ten toes down.

i honestly avoid some ex-mormon content too. they have every right to tell their story in their words. but sometimes they treat things i believe as inherently stupid and say things like "why would anyone (or worse, "a Black person") ever believe this?" they are always white. who are you, again?
#CommunityofChrist history with race is different, better imho, but it isn't great in regards to the treatment of Black saints. Early #Black #LatterDaySaints are awesome & their storys should be told!

this morning in one of my church groups, we all agreed we need to be more accepting of the polygamous saints. which is controversial for josephite saints.
bc it's in isolation that abuses flourish. making polygamy itself illegal likely contributes to underage marriages. also we are related and running away from the fact that there is a connection between polygamy and #mormonism isn't good for any of us

was conversing with some community of christ members this morning. the church sends out a scripture based message every day that we go over it together.
sometimes we don't even get to it and discuss something else.
i brought up that I and some other progressive #LatterDaySaints believe and interpret from the D&C that Emma was ordained and had all the keys to the Priesthood. and a lot of them were like "yes, she had the keys and was ordained."
i stand by that, and propagate it.

as #LatterDaySaints we also think scripture can evolve, but we have a specific process for that, and it's much more complicated than challenging things that are tradition (within our religious framework).
one thing we that was talked about is "who can participate in, and serve communion" and "what is the role of women in the church". both things that are limited/were limited in our religion. both heavily influenced by tradition.

but i certainly don't expect other #LatterDaySaints or #Mormons to see it how i do. just putting my perspective out there. most people can consume caffeine responsibly. i just have no plans of being chemically dependent on stimulants again (excepting ADHD script).
strong drink is discouraged, but that doesn't mean no alcohol. barley drinks (like beer) and i think wine are okay. i take this in the spirit of not binging on alcohol or drinking for the purpose of reaching drunkenness.

@jewterpretor It's okay! Actually, a lot of what modern neopaganisms inherited from the ceremonial magic traditions was, ahem, *heavily inspired* by Freemasonry. It's why I always feel like #LatterDaySaints are my spiritual cousins.
