But anyway, if you've a sudden need for a lateral test kit and are wondering "what about the ones that are past their expiration date," here's an anecdote.
The top strip is over a year past expiration and spent that time cooking/freezing in a car glove compartment.
Lower two are fresh.
All three were used within an hours' time on the same subject.
The expired kit took a bit longer to "develop" but delivers a result pretty much consistent w/the new ones.
