there were half a dozen ways the queer love story on tonight’s #LastOfUsHBO could have gone wrong. I kept waiting for it to happen at every turn, because so VERY often that’s all we get. and instead it was sweet, and beautiful, and made my heart burst. 😭❤️🩹

The first Last of Us episode was *perfect*
Especially as we started replaying the game last weekend, so many scenes & dialogue bits were exactly the same, and yet it feels very natural. Also I know the game is pretty emotional, but I thought the show was even more powerful...
The game atmosphere is very much there as well, to the point that we kept joking that the graphics were amazing.
All the actors are on point too! I thought Pedro Pascal was perfect for Joel right away, but I wasn't sure about Bella Ramsey until I saw them in the episode and... no, yep, works perfectly as well! And I love that Marlene's actress is her original voice actress!
I wasn't expecting the very... mushroomy details for the zombies but I immediately fell in love with it and I can't wait to see more!
