Attempting to get back to Conquest, as I really loved the vibe and gameplay. We just found our group half distracted by other games, and half waiting for Sorcerer Kings to drop.
First pic is a mini that’s mostly done (ie what I’m going for) while the second mini is very work in progress, as I have to finish base coating before I can get to blessed drybrushing.

While there’s a lot of neat things about Conquest, assembling their minis and trying to fit them all together on stands is NOT one of them.
It’s pretty fucking obvious that whoever designs their sculpts doesn’t actually consider that folks will be trying to cram these things together into a 66mm squared space and goes for the rule of cool, rather than the models actually being usable. :I

After endless finagling, I think I’m ready to call this prototype wrapped up. As utterly beautiful and fantastic as this sculpt is, I’m a bit frustrated how long I’ve taken on it and how much it’s blocked me on other projects.
Model is a W’adrhun Brave from Conquest: Last Argument of Kings. Paint scheme is hella inspired by the Frostwolf clan from Warcraft.

So I'm painting up some massive 38mm Nords from the game Conquest for a friend right now. Not sure how much I like the scheme but I'm on a deadline! Got 2 more of these, and 4 with heavy shields and cloaks to do as well. Going mostly contrast for speed reasons. Think I'll give the metallics a bit of a blue/green wash, then brass details. Bit of black wash to help seperation, and some quick highlights to fancy 'em up.
