A question for #rothar folk: I'm contemplating a cycle along the Barrow Way (from Muine Beag to Athy), and I'm assuming there are parts that are still unpaved.

My question is: will I be okay with road tyres or should I switch to cyclocross/cx tyres? (Neither are puncture resistant, alas.)

eta: my bike is a cx bike.

First weekend off in ages. So Eduardo and I went out for afternoon tea in the Heritage Hotel in Portarlington, Laois . All vegan, even the feta cheese was plant based.
