  4. Contactless card payments are now available on TFI Local Link Mayo’s regular services from 9 February 2026. Passengers can pay single-journey fares using debit and credit cards, as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay. The National #Transport Authority confirmed the rollout following successful pilots in #Cavan and #Monaghan and more recent introductions in #Tipperary, #Laois and #Offaly. Daily and weekly tickets will continue to be sold via the Leap website and the TFI Leap Top-up App, while Leap cards, cash and Free Travel Cards remain valid. The upgrade forms part of a wider programme to modernise fare payment systems across #Ireland, improving accessibility and convenience, particularly for rural and regional communities. Representatives said the change offers passengers greater flexibility and supports more sustainable travel.
