After a long weekend, I survived the day back to work. Schools have started but I didn't have to curse at school buses. I never understand why the summer break ends at the peak of summer. In Japan, school break BEGAN on July 19 in most areas this year.

It's insane that 90f/32c feels cooler. When I was growing up, this temp was super hot. Rain is forecast in an hour. I believe it when it does rain.

What a difference a low humidity makes. 88f/31c but at 40% humidity, it's very much bearable except for mosquitos, as you can see Kengo lying on overgrown grass.

More #Lantanas - these one’s botanic name is #Lantanacanescens and I like them because they’re simple and the colour structure of whites, merging into the yellow centres.

Each head is in various stages of bloom.

They’re delicate and healthy looking. I’d suggest this shrub has been well watered. Most likely fed as well.
