I want to try a new #Japanese learning method: I'd like to start posting regular or semi-regular videos talking about different things, using a translation service and/or dictionary to find the necessary words. The problem is, my living situation is a little ruff right now, so I can't think of anything positive to talk about. This is annoying: I got a new phone and many of the apps that I used to use to study Ancient Egyptian are no longer available.

Sadly, this is not really an OS problem so much as there was just one person who was writing most of this code, and they appear to have just stopped updating. ☹️

Back to the limitations of flashcards, etc. (Not dissing #Ankidroid or anything, it's just I like the other tools a lot.)

So I'm finally doing almost daily journalling, a habit I've wanted to do for ages - all because of my #TeReoMāori study! I can put together simple sentences in all tenses, so my writing practise is translating those short diary entries into Te Reo. I use Te Aka for new vocabulary and a couple sources to help with grammar I'm not sure about.
I then read several of them aloud, to practise pronounciation but also just getting used to the language.

I wrote a lot of words I learnt reading this book (like for now 18 pages/9 sheets), I have to organise them for learning but I feel everything is only accessible through a Paywall now, are there still good apps? I never did paper cards or such, open to it but unsure how to proceed? (level estimated A2/B1, self learning)

Welp, my paid sub to #Duolingo finally ended today. Not resubscribing after their hatchet job on the site. Not being able to easily go back and retake lessons, or focus on just one topic at a time, has meant it's 'game over' for me
