Moments like these touch my heart so deeply ❤️
A father and son beginning their Hebrew journey together… and the very first word he learns to write is “Aba” אבא — father.
There is something so meaningful about language being passed hand to hand, generation to generation, through love, learning, and shared moments like this.
I feel incredibly blessed to be even a small part of these memories and connections being created through Hebrew. Thank you Adam for giving this gift back to me.
Cold air is rolling into the East Coast ❄️
Snow, wind, all the cozy vibes incoming.
Perfect timing to learn a new word about being warm, close, and comfy…
aka snuggle 🐶🧸
Chloe’s already practicing it in her sleep, with her favorite toy, obviously.
I’ll be teaching it in today’s Hebrew lesson — because some words just feel like winter.
Grab a blanket, find your cozy buddy, and come learn with me 🤍

Winter in our new corner of the USA is no joke ❄️
This Israeli has officially learned: new winter coat ✔️ space heater ✔️ fireplace magic ✔️
Since it’s that cold… here’s a Hebrew lesson on how to say “I’m cold!” 🥶
Bundle up with Hebrew — it’ll warm you right up 🔥🇮🇱
Writing the word “present” on this Buddha Board gift feels especially meaningful.
In Hebrew, present (tense) is /ho-’veh/ — הווה 🇮🇱💙
Like the board itself, the word appears… and gently fades.
A reminder from both Hebrew and mindfulness:
The present moment is all we ever truly have. ✨
Create. Breathe. Be here.
Happy New Year! The Gregorian vs The Hebrew Calendar in Hebrew 🥳
This video was created at the end of 2022 switching to 2023, but you can apply it to any year - the pattern and template are what matter!
Simply switch the last digits from 2 and 3 to match the current year. For example, for 2025-2026, use 5 and 6.
This works until we reach 2030, and by then I'll make a new one!
As you gather around the Christmas Tree today why not try this short Hebrew lesson out?

Every Sunday, I share a new Hebrew lesson with you on my VIP email list.
This week, we’re tackling a subtle, sneaky obstacle that can quietly block your progress in Hebrew…
שִׂנְאָה /seen-’ah/ – Hate. But not the kind you might
imagine.
There’s the obvious, outward kind — and yes, I encounter it almost every day.
Not from people who know me. Not from my students.
Not from this amazing, supportive community. But from complete strangers.
If you’re on my email list please head to your inboxes now and let me know what you think.
It’s been a rainy cloudy shabbat, I Love it!
There’s something special about rain on Shabbat. The world slows down, the air feels fresh, and everything seems to pause—just like we do. As the rain nourishes the earth, Shabbat nourishes the soul. 🌧️🕯️

You might think this isn't Hebrew... but walk around Israel and you'll hear צימר /'tsee-mer/ EVERYWHERE!
In this part 11, I'm breaking down one of those borrowed words that became so Israeli, we use it daily.
From romantic getaways to vacation planning - 'zimmer' is essential vocabulary you won't find in traditional Hebrew textbooks.
This is exactly why I created this series - to teach you the Hebrew that real Israelis actually speak, not just dictionary words.
Because when you visit Israel, you need to understand what locals are really saying!
Ready to sound like a native speaker? Let's dive in!
🌀 “I think, therefore I am.” – Descartes
When it comes to Hebrew, I like to say:
✨ “I speak, therefore I become.” ✨
Every word you learn and every sentence you practice isn’t just language—it’s identity, connection, and belonging. The more you speak Hebrew, the more you step into the culture, history, and heartbeat of Israel itself.
So don’t just think about learning Hebrew—become the speaker you’ve always wanted to be. 🌿🇮🇱

🤯 “Wait… that’s HEBREW?!”
I hear this from my students all the time when I teach them everyday Israeli words like sababa, yalla, bye.
This week’s Sunday lesson is extra fun—I go A to Z (Alef to Tav) with 22 essential Israeli words that make you sound like a real Israeli 👉 https://youtu.be/owXngEqxw5A?si=qiIPDHKOVO-DpvKr
And every Sunday, right after the lesson drops, my husband and I have our own little tradition: we watch it together, then head to the most beautiful city in the US for a walk, coffee, dessert (or maybe a whole meal 😋), and just soak in the joy of sharing Hebrew with the world.
Thank you all for being part of this tradition with me—especially my husband, who makes it even sweeter. 💙
