My Favorite Israeli Salad:
Base:
Mix of greens, spinach, arugula - whatever you like
Toppings:
Nectarine/Strawberries/any fruit you like
Your favorite nut (I like roasting pecans on a pan with no oil for a few minutes, making sure it doesn't get burnt - you know it's ready when you flip it and the good roasted scent is there)
Goat cheese/blue cheese crumbles or both (any form of cheese you like, those are my favorites)
Assembly:
Tthe greens and all the rest on top, & add the dressing right before you serve it or start eating
Dressing:
Good quality balsamic vinegar (I get Maderna, Italy certified)
Good olive oil extra virgin
Around 3:1 olive oil to balsamic vinegar
Salt
Dijon mustard
I do half and half of pure date syrup & honey
Garlic (powder or real cut super small)
Instructions:
Mix dressing ingredients together, eyeball the proportions Israeli-style, & drizzle over salad right before serving
