Quiero hacer este post publico porque quiero hablar de un videojuego que me encanta y ando re jugando estos días.
Der Langrisser, un remake de Langrisser II lanzado para Snes, Super Nintendo pues. ¿Que es Langrisser? algunas personas le llamaban una copia de Fire Emblem en su día... y con todo el respeto, me gusta Fire Emblem pero... jamas pudo hacer lo que se hizo en Der Langrisser.
Si, la saga como tal bebe del genero y sus exponentes, y obviamente eso involucra a Fire Emblem, pero de ahí a ser una copia... el camino es largo...
Der Langrisser me encanta y me asombra, a nivel gráfico quizás no es lo mas llamativo aunque tiene su magia, pero... ¿La narrativa? profunda de una forma que de peque no me daba cuenta, pero ahora jugando estoy en plan "Esto es demasiado filosófico" jaja.
Der Langrisser trata la guerra con profundidad, genera debate en su narrativa, ¿la paz se obtiene matando? ¿es necesario librar una guerra por más cruel que sea por el futuro de nuestra sociedad? preguntas que te dejan pensando.
Esto es normal ahora pero en esa época era una pasada: Der Langrisser no tiene una sola ruta, no sigues la ruta predeterminada del héroe como en otros juegos de su época, hay más. Mediante una serie de acciones la persona que juega puede desbloquear rutas diferentes, ¿que tal si el protagonista quiere dejar de pelear contra el imperio y quiere unirse? ¿que pasa si lo seduce la oscuridad? ¿y que pasa si se harta de todos? bueno, para ello Der Langrisser tiene 4 rutas con narrativa, desarrollo y finales totalmente diferentes.
La ruta de la luz es el típico viaje del héroe, la ruta imperial es cuando el prota se une al imperio entendiendo que la estabilidad de la región necesita una mano dura para poder mantenerla, la ruta del caos es cuando el prota jura lealtad al príncipe oscuro y se une a los demonios dejando atrás cualquier ideal, y la ruta del gran gobernante es cuando el prota decide que ninguna de las facciones en pugna le satisface y por ello toma las armas en contra de todos para establecer su propia visión, su propio imperio. Esos escritores merecen un premio, se sacaron un anime con diferentes temporadas okno.
Mi ruta favorita es la del gran gobernante, su desarrollo y conclusión me parecen de lo mas profundo del juego, eso si, es la ruta mas triste, la paz por la fuerza tiene un precio y no es eterna...
En fin, es un juegarral de proporciones épicas, top 5 de esa consola según mis gustos. Jugarlo es una experiencia.

Finished Langrisser 1, route b, before I went riding. Fine game, not sure if I'll go back ng+ for trying other routes.

I am playing through Langrisser 1 right now (steam remake, set ot classic art because holy shit who thought those were good updates?) and I honestly like this better than every single early fire emblem, mechanically.
It's got an interesting gimmick, it's not a complete asshole on map design, and it plays fast.
On the other hand, the story is uh... I'd call it threadbare but that's a bar it doesn't actually get over.
Great 80s art though.

@SirTapTap I feel like the amount you have to do per day varies wildly between #gacha games. #ffbe #wotv is very slow and it takes a long time to get through all the menus. #langrisser mobile is a bit better.
