These are the 15 minute poses. It's an extra challenge to #draw people you know. One wants to get the likeness and character right. That's easier to let go with strangers.

I tried an “extra rough” #watercolor paper (from the local brand Schut) for this portrait.

The surface has an unusual structure, which makes it hard to control the colors, but helps to keep the image lively. And stops me from over-detailing :blobfoxgiggle:
