What a difference one minute can make! Literally... these were made one minute apart, the only difference being a passing cloud partially blocking the sunlight in the first.
That first image is also this month's featured photo for my (free) 2025 desktop wallpaper collection, which you can grab via my Free Downloads page, if interested.
I also have a BTS video from this day's outings on my YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/A-gSbEi7wWU

Understanding the importance of having a friend to look up to, I wanted to introduce you all to one of mine.
She stands at about mile 7.5 on my Saturday #hike at the Hidden Valley Preserve in Washington Depot, CT.
Here's an iteration of that from Alltrails for those of you interested: https://www.alltrails.com/explore/recording/afternoon-hike-0ebf197--226?u=i&sh=ynqvrm

One of the main drivers of improvement in my #naturephotography has been patience. Especially in 2018, I was all about go-go-go, eschewing the tripod for handheld and "spray and pray." Learning to slow down and take a more contemplative approach really provided a huge leap forward in the quality of my work.
Each of these #landscapephotos from #brycecanyon represents that philosophy, waiting for the light to hit the landscape just so.
