"New drone footage shows what remains of Gaza City after two years of war and as a cease-fire holds in its second day.
The footage taken by The Associated Press on Saturday shows a few buildings still standing in the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood. The rest appear to be gutted. Piles of debris rise well above the tops of vehicles. Roads are shrouded in concrete dust.
The footage also shows a few people out and about. They walk or drive among the ruins as tens of thousands of Palestinians make their way to what is left of their homes. Gaza City was the focus of Israel's military offensive in the weeks before the ceasefire.
Some returning residents told the AP they were shocked by a new level of ruin."

U.N. blue helmets should intervene in Palestine and return the land that was robbed since at least 1967 to the descendants of the original owners. Land grabbers should be put in JAIL - AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. I can't believe why western countries don't really clearly state that Israel has been illegally stealing land from Palestinians during the last five decades or more...!

An incident on Aug. 21 involving an overturned tractor and an injured settler — the exact circumstances were never clarified — led hundreds of Israeli soldiers to swarm into the village, detaining the mayor for nine days and searching more than 500 homes. At the same time, settlers hacked and bulldozed countless olive trees across the villagers’ fields."
