Lamy gladziutkie, sunie po papierze i zostawia gruba, mocna kreske, Kaweco robi wrazenie bardziej skrobania po papierze, kreska jest cienka i nierowna, jakby wklad troche zasechl (oba kupione mniej wiecej w tym samym czasie).

Yo no se si alguien me retirará la palabra por esta burrada😜, pero ahí va mi confesión.
Le mangué a mi hijo una Lamy joy black que hacía años que no usaba. No estoy acostumbrado a plumas tan largas y me era incómoda para llevarla y para escribir, así que después de probarla varias veces decidí "acortarla" un poco y cerrar el hueco adaptándole una pieza de plexiglás de los años 70 que tenía por el taller y que después de un buen pulido, refleja la luz de una forma muy chula.
La pluma ha pasado de sus 18,3cm a 14,5 cm. Me gusta mucho más ahora y la encuentro más manejable.

Old vs new. I’ve bought my first fountain pen in probably over twenty years. I’ve always loved writing with them but I transitioned to writing more digitally in recent times. Now I want to write more by hand again and for this reason I bought a new fountain pen. It’s almost the same as the one I got when I went to school but this time I got it with a left handed nib and an engraving of my chosen name (and legal name since one and a half years) and a very pretty colour called „black purple“. I also got a converter with it to have a better selection of inks.

Four months ago I posted about this quirky #fountainpen I popped into my shopping cart on impulse one night while grabbing some supplies on Amazon.

Well, after that original post I didn’t use the pen. I put it away in a case and I forgot about it. Recently, I bought a new, large #pencase and moved most of my pens into that case. While I was doing so, I realized I had a bunch of pens that had been sitting around, inked, but unused, including this one.

Last night I pulled out ten pens (five Parker 51 clones, #Lamy Safari, #Hongdian M2 Brass, Hongdian C1, #TWSBI Eco and this Wilknd) to clean out.

Of the pens I pulled out: 2 Parker 51 clones, the Lamy, and the Hongdian M2 Brass had dried out / failed to write. But the Wilknd, the one that was in the case the longest (except for the TWSBI and Lamy) worked immediately. After four months that pen was writing up a storm like I had just filled it and started using it.

Just goes to show: name brand isn’t everything. Even the cheapest, no-name pen can perform as well as, and possibly better than a brand name pen.

Ya sabeis que uno de los signos distintivos de la pluma Lamy Safari es el plumín. Un tipo de plumín que comparten otras plumas de lo que yo llamo el "Sistema safari", las: Safari, Al-Star, LX, Neex, abc, cp 1, scala, studio, dialog, ...y no sé si me dejo alguna.
El caso es que ese plumin triangular, en diversas calidades y tipos de punta, es algo icónico de Lamy.
Pues bien, eso podria cambiar, o al menos ampliarse la gama.
Segun el artículo que os enlazo, en perfecto alemán (nada que un poco de cultura o un traductor automático no pueda resolver), y literalmente dice:
"Lamy está trabajando en un plumín 'sin ranura' – una innovación técnica de la ranura de plumín clásica. El canal de tinta se introduce en la parte inferior mediante un láser de pulso ultracorto y el grano se estandariza previamente. Objetivo: geometría reproducible, una superficie sin tinta y una nueva estética a través de facetas concisas."

El artículo — publicado el 30/01/2026— que detalla el proceso de producción, no detalla si los nuevos plumines cubrirán toda la gama del "Sistema Safari" o solo se fabricarán plumines "de lujo" para las plumas de gama alta.
Como sabéis los grosores de trazo de los plumines Lamy han sido criticados en algunas ocasiones por presentar pocas diferencias entre M, F , EF,... aunque tengo que decir que la calidad del plumín y la experiencia de escritura, compensa cualquier cosa parecida que pueda ocurrir en ese sentido. ¿Serán estos nuevos plumines más precisos en la determinación del grosor de trazo del plumín?. Se habla que los trabajos en curso están intentando adaptar el sistema a los diferentes grosores de plumín.

Como fan de Lamy no puedo decir más que estoy impaciente por ver esa novedad a la venta y poder probarla.

That's now both of my mother's fountain pens (the #Waterman #Hemisphere I bought for her for Xmas 2007 and the #Lamy #Studio I bought for her last Spring) cleaned, serviced, loaded up with her preferences of ink (Diamine's Mediterranean Blue and Aurora Borealis respectively) and a Morris & Co writing set ready and waiting that I'd intended for Mother's Day this year.

She's been out of hospital for a few days and wants to write a thank you note to the teams that helped her over those 3 weeks.
