¿Sabían que la figura de la #Lamia en la mitología ha evolucionado drásticamente a lo largo del tiempo, pasando de ser una reina trágica a un monstruo seductor?
Originalmente, según algunas versiones del mito, era una reina libia que sufrió una gran tragedia. Una de las narrativas más conocidas cuenta que Lamia era amada por Zeus, lo que provocó la ira de su esposa Hera. Como castigo, Hera infligió un terrible sufrimiento a Lamia y la transformó en un ser monstruoso.
En algunas versiones tempranas del mito, Lamia era retratada como un espectro aterrador. Para aumentar su tormento, Hera la maldijo con la incapacidad de cerrar los ojos. Zeus, compadeciéndose de ella, le otorgó la habilidad de quitarse los ojos, lo que le permitía un breve alivio.
Con el paso del tiempo, la imagen de la Lamia cambió. En la literatura posterior, especialmente en la época medieval y romántica, comenzó a ser representada como una criatura seductora, a menudo con rasgos de serpiente, que atraía a los hombres. Esta transformación muestra cómo los mitos pueden adaptarse y cambiar su significado en diferentes culturas y períodos históricos.
