Tu vois le drame de ma vie c’est le masque. Il y a Gainsbourg et il y a Gainsbarre. Mais à force de jouer avec un masque, le masque me colle au visage et je n’arrive plus à le décoller. Si j’ai un conseil à te donner, petit, ne prends jamais de masque. Au début c’est pratique, après on ne peut plus s’en débarrasser.

Today is Marseillaise Day in France. The day honours the National Anthem of France, the Marseillaise, on the anniversary of the day in 1792 when it was first sung in Paris (by 500 men from Marseilles).

I recently learned of #KarineVanasse while watching the #tv series #PanAm on the #RokuChannel, in which she was the most mature and interesting character, and her work on #Cardinal (#Hulu) is also very good.
On PanAm, her character had by far the best episode (#BerlinWall) thanks to directing, editing, and her acting.
The end scene, reminiscent in a twisted, opposite way to Yvonne's #LaMarseillaise moment in #Casablanca, is truly emotional and resonant.
