Living near the Pacific Ocean and previously amongst the Pacific Rim volcanoes in Washington State and Oregon, I have learned to be aware of tsunami or lahar threats and evacuation routes.
I was just thinking that while visiting Salem OR there is an earthquake risk, but no walls of water or boulder strewn hot mud are expected.

Via the U.S. Geological Survey, on Tuesday, a small debris flow was detected by several of Mount Rainier's lahar monitoring stations, likely the result of an outburst of water from the South Tahoma Glacier that grew into a debris flow, which isn't surprising given the current heat wave in WA.
