Watching Kassovitz’ La Haine again. I am always impressed by the movie’s raw energy. A masterpiece that hasn’t aged a day. (With all regret, it can be said that the subject matter hasn’t aged a day either).

Mentre in questi giorni è tornato al #cinema #LaHaine, esattamente 5 anni fa veniva presentato Festival di #Cannes il suo legittimo erede #LesMiserables. Il film non c'entra nulla col romanzo di #VictorHugo. O forse ne coglie appieno il significato. Certo che la scena iniziale è paragonabile come potenza allo sbarco in Normandia di #SavingPrivateRyan. spielfilm in ner pariser banlieue von mathieu kassovitz 1995 - 96 min.
im rauhen alltäglichen leben drei jugendlicher freunde im banlieue wird ein anderer junge aus dem viertel von bullen so schwer verletzt das er stirbt. darauf gehts ab im viertel, wo einer der drei nen bullen erschießen will, was widersprüchlich unter den freunden gesehen wird.
„Der Film wurde in Anlehnung an ein reales Ereignis gedreht. 1993 wurde während eines Verhörs auf einem Polizeirevier in einer der #Banlieues ein 16-jähriger Zairer namens Makomé #Bowole von einem Polizisten durch einen Schuss in die Schläfe getötet. Bowole war zu diesem Zeitpunkt mit Handschellen an einen Heizkörper gefesselt. Die Ausschnitte am Anfang des Filmes sind echte Videos der Krawalle, die sich in Folge ereigneten.“
