For my few followers I have not posted in a couple days because yes we were trapped in #kaanapali during the #mauifires. No more vacation pics for obvious reasons. But a thread 🧵:

We were at the Outrigger Kaanapali Beach approximately 3 miles north of the #lahainafire. Initially when we awoke Tuesday the high winds had knocked out power only. Annoying but didn’t seem like a big problem.

We drove to the Safeway in Lahaina and got some food around lunchtime. Chaotic but safe.
