The marine layer woke us both up with its cool damp breezes coming through the windows.
After deigning to snuggle for approximately 5 min (I take what i can get), Benson wanted a long sniffari so that's what I gave him.
My back will chastise me later.
After breakfast we went though our Goopy Face routine (I wipe his face+jowls because he's a messy eater), he did a butt scoot. Horrified, I *immediately* grabbed the dog wipes and wiped his butt.
And that booger plopped into a perfect sit. Thwarted.
Ok, doggo. I'll respect your boundaries. But I AM going to clean that booty later.

Benson is happily cobbling one of his toys right now but maaaan, the walk upstairs was a comedy of Woman vs Pittie Who Wants to Play.
Have you ever had a pittie accidentally nip your fupa in the struggle to grab the leash? No? Let me tell you, it motivates you to let the dog have the leash while you go up the stairs.
I don't care what trainers and Cesar says. If Benson wants to nibble on the leash because he's in his dog feelings then fuckit. He can nibble on it. Until we get inside.
Then it's *on.*
Also, thank God I wear leather gloves.Upside: my back is warmed up and my hip is loose. Thanks, doggo, you beast.

There's just something about dressing up for dinner (and not having a dog with you.)
Last dinner out of 2023 and I wore a dark green jersey dress (with pockets), gold jewelry, hair up in a twist, Italian heels, new bright red mani, red lipstick, red coat, orange clutch.🥵
I feel like I'm the tree that fell in the woods but no one saw so it didn't really happen.

Benson was SO good on the BART this morning.
Focused on me (i.e, the Giver of Treats), did not Scooby-Do it while entering/exiting the car, and did not pull on the platform. He goes in/out of elevators so smoothly and calmly now!
He chomped only ONE piece of street chicken he found in the bushes and didn't eat any poo.
He did, however, crunch on something I could not get out of his mouth. I'm hoping it was a pizza crust.
At his boarding weigh-in, though, he's down to 69 lbs (🔻 3 lbs). Hm.
When I got him, he was an underweight 64 or something. I may have cut back too hard on his food. 4 cups/day might be too much but 2 is too little. I'll shoot for 3.
We are active, though. 🤔
