Dieses Wochenende gab es für mich zwei neue #Brettspiele und drei alte Bekannte.
Neu war für mich #Altay, das ist ein Deckbuilder-getriebenes Area Control. Das Spiel ist nett, aber Area Control ist weiter nicht mein Ding.
Und #Lacuna. Ein gemütliches Ding für zwei, mit einer sehr ungewöhnlichen Tischpräsenz. 😳
Die alten Bekannten - #LetsGoToJapan, #JustOne und zweimal #FlashPoint - gehören zu meinen Lieblingsspielen, die funktionieren für mich immer.

Here are some notable #boardgames that we've been playing the past few weeks.

#Lacuna: This game describes itself as "cozy". I suppose that fits, but don't let it fool you. There's tight little abstract game hiding in that tube. I only wish the playing mat was a tad smaller so that we didn't have to clear off so much of the table every time we want to play it.

#SeaSaltandPaper: Still really like this game. Our current go to coffee shop game.

#Acquire: This game is fantastic! I can't believe it took so long for me to play it. Few games weave the theme and gameplay together as well as this one. I can't wait to play it some more!

#LordsOfWaterdeep: I was shocked at how simple the rules were. Definitely enjoyed it a lot!

#TicketToRide_LegendsoftheWest: Three games in. Pretty good so far! I fear the game will feel bloated and take too long by the end, but we'll see.

#Fluxx: JM had an epic win! Manipulated every rule to the max. It was glorious!

1. „Lacuna” to gra niezależna DigiTales Interactive z 2021 roku.

2. Gra ma samą fabułę i zero akcji. Co chcę przez to powiedzieć, że cała rozgrywka polega na rozmawianiu z kolejnymi postaciami i podejmowaniu decyzji. Jest trochę biegania z miejsca na miejsce, ale nie ma żadnej walki i nie można zostać zranionym lub zabitym.

3. Gra jest fenomenalnie napisana. Soczyste dialogi, jak również różne materiały pomocnicze: artykuły oraz mejle, które trzeba przeczytać, żeby podjąć właściwe decyzje.

4. No właśnie, decyzje. Głównym motywem gry są konsekwencje podejmowanych decyzji. Gra sejwuje się automatycznie w wybranych momentach nie można się cofnąć. Szybko np. nauczyłem się, że opłaca się być miłym dla ludzi, bo to przynosi o wiele lepsze efekty.

5. Na każdą odpowiedź jest określony czas, po którym wybierane jest to, co akurat zaznaczono. Można to wyłączyć, ale mnie się to podobało.

6. Wizualnie mamy pixel art gruboziarnisty, gdzie każda postać to dosłownie kilkanaście pikseli. Jednocześnie jest coś w rodzaju dynamicznego światła. Efekt bardzo ciekawy i podkreślający, że nie o stronę wizualną chodzi.

7. Na odwrót z muzyką — jazzująca oprawa muzyczna przywodzi na myśl najlepsze pozycje kina noir, którego gra jest implementacją.

8. Historia idzie w parze ze ścieżką dźwiękową i mamy morderstwo polityka oraz całe typowe dla noir motywy i motywiki, których nie chcę tu wymieniać, by nie zdradzać za dużo z fabuły.

9. O ile udało mi się osiągnąć bardzo satysfakcjonujące mnie zakończenie, są co najmniej 3 momenty, podczas których zastanawiałem się, co by było, gdybym podjął inną decyzję. Gra ma zatem duży potencjał do przechodzenia jej więcej niż raz.

10. Podsumowując, bardzo polecam, jeżeli komuś gruboziarnisty piksel nie wadzi, zwłaszcza, że gra lata na sporych przecenach (sam kupiłem chyba za 2 euro).
